Step 1
Arrange a comfortable working height around waist height with the gutter, remove the ends caps from the glazing bars, they may be slotted or screwed on. In some circumstances you may need to remove the gutter.
Step 6
Push the end of the rod through the hole with the bumpy side facing up.
Step 2
Remove the sheet closures by pulling away from the polycarbonate, if silicone has been used to secure closure then a screwdriver may be required to lever the closure away from the sheet.
Step 7
Carefully place the insert into the top flute while carefully forming an arc push the rod up the flute keeping the pressure on until you reach the end of the sheet then slide rod out. Click here to see a visual of how to insert the inserts.
Step 3
Remove the breather tape and clean off the residue on the polycarbonate.
Step 8
Cut insert flush with the end of the polycarbonate.
Step 4
On longer runs you may need to spray silicone into the top cell, this will ease any friction allowing the insert to be pushed up.
Step 9
Check from inside that all flutes have been filled correctly, if all is well replace breather tape and sheet closure.
Step 5
Place a roll of solar insert into the pouch, making sure that when you pull out the insert that the bumpy side is is facing up, hole punch the insert.
